Who We Are

PatentReview is an independent professional initiative dedicated to supporting the technical and legal review of patents of public interest, while documenting those proceedings in a transparent and evidence-based manner.

Our project is founded on the principle that confidence in the patent system depends on lawful procedures, professional integrity, and evidence-based decision-making.

Only the competent authorities and courts have the legal power to determine the validity of a patent.

Our mission is not to pass judgment, but to support lawful review proceedings through technically and legally sound analysis, together with documentation that is transparent and open to independent verification.

Statement of Independence

PatentReview is an independent professional initiative.

Our purpose is to support the evidence-based technical and legal review of patents of public interest and to publish analyses and documents that may lawfully be made available to the public in a transparent and accessible manner.

Our professional conclusions are based solely on the available evidence, publicly accessible documents, scientific and technical literature, and applicable law.

Financial support received by the project, regardless of its source, does not influence our technical analyses, legal assessments or published conclusions. A contribution does not confer any decision-making authority, editorial influence or right of prior approval over the project's work.

PatentReview is not a political organisation, does not represent any political party or political interest, and does not engage in political campaigning. The project is concerned exclusively with the technical and legal issues relating to the patent system.

All analyses published by PatentReview represent the project's professional opinion and do not replace the decisions of the competent authorities or courts. The validity of a patent can be determined only by the authorities or courts with the appropriate legal jurisdiction.

We are committed to public accountability. We regularly publish information about the project's activities, the use of financial contributions, and developments that may lawfully be disclosed.

We believe that confidence in the patent system is strengthened through professional integrity, transparency, and evidence-based discussion.
