Funding Goal:
PatentReview is an independent professional initiative supported by its community. Our mission is to ensure that the technical and legal review of patents of public interest is transparent, evidence-based, and open to independent scrutiny.
Delivering the project requires substantial research, expert analysis and legal work. By supporting PatentReview, you directly contribute to enabling this work to be carried out independently and solely on the basis of professional and technical considerations.
The funding goal represents the estimated budget required for the project's planned 18-month implementation period.

Why Is Your Support Needed?
A project of this scale requires many months of research, engineering analysis, patent research, expert input and legal work.
PatentReview is currently not funded by any corporate or institutional sponsors. We believe that community funding is the best way to preserve the project's professional independence and ensure that its work remains free from external influence.
Every contribution helps ensure that the project is guided not by commercial or political interests, but by evidence, sound technical and legal analysis, and the public interest.
Every donation enables PatentReview to continue its independent professional work and to make its findings publicly available in a transparent and verifiable manner.
What Does Your Support Make Possible?
Prior Art Research
We identify and organise scientific publications, patent documents and other relevant technical sources that pre-date the patents’ priority dates.
Technical Analysis
We examine the patent claims, the asserted technical effects, practical feasibility, and the questions of novelty and inventive step.
Independent Expert Involvement
Where appropriate, we involve independent engineers, researchers, patent professionals and legal experts to review, test and refine the technical and legal arguments.
Legal Preparation
We prepare the technical and legal documentation required for the revocation proceedings and arrange the necessary support from patent attorneys.
Patent Revocation Proceedings
As a first step, we intend to initiate revocation proceedings in Hungary in respect of the patents concerned.
Public Documentation
We continuously publish the analyses, sources, submissions, decisions and project updates that may lawfully be made available to the public.
Public Events
Throughout the project, we plan to organise public lectures, briefings and community events where we will present the progress of the proceedings and answer questions from interested participants.
Budget
The final cost of the project will depend on the number of experts involved, the scope of the technical research required, and the complexity and duration of the legal proceedings.
To provide transparency, we have defined two funding milestones. Both are based on an estimated 18-month project implementation period.

Thank you for your generous support.
What Happens If We Receive More Support Than Needed?
If the project receives funding in excess of the amount required to achieve its stated objectives, any surplus funds will be used solely in furtherance of PatentReview's publicly stated mission.
This may include:
analysing additional patents of public interest;
preparing further patent revocation proceedings;
expanding the public knowledge base;
supporting additional independent technical and legal research; and
ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project.
We will publish a separate public statement explaining how any surplus funds are intended to be used, ensuring continued transparency and accountability.
